Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 small yellow onion finely diced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh dill

Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add diced onion, salt, and pepper. Cook slowly, stirring often, for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and soft. Let cool.
  • In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  • Stir in garlic powder, caramelized onions, chives, parsley, and dill.
  • Chill for at least 20 minutes before serving for best flavor.
