Ingredients
2tablespoonsunsalted butter
1small yellow onionfinely diced
½teaspoonsalt
¼teaspoonpepper
½teaspoongarlic powder
4ozcream cheesesoftened
1cupsour cream
1tablespoonchopped chives

Instructions
In a skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add diced onion, salt, and pepper. Cook slowly, stirring often, for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and soft. Let cool.
In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
