Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbs sweet onions sliced into ¼ inch rings
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter sliced into pats
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • cup parmesan cheese grated or shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F and spray a 9x13 or similar sized casserole with cooking spray.
  • Spread the sliced onions out into the bottom of your prepared casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle the seasonings on top and toss to coat.
  • Add the butter pats on top of the onions, followed by the shredded cheese.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake in the oven for 50 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the cheese topping becomes a light golden brown.
  • Allow the onions to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving, enjoy!
