2tablespoonsolive oil
2poundsribeye steakcut into bite sized cubes
1tablespoonsoy sauce
1tablespooncornstarch
1/2teaspoonblack pepper
1medium white onioncut into bite-sized pieces
1red bell peppercut into bite-sized pieces
1green peppercut into bite-sized pieces
Sauce:
1 1/4cupbeef broth
1/3cupsoy sauce
2tablespoonscornstarch
2tablespoonsoyster sauce
2tablespoonsbrown sugar
2tablespoonsrice vinegar
1tablespoonminced garlic
1teaspoonminced ginger
1teaspoonfish sauce
1teaspoonblack pepper
1teaspoonsesame oil
Garnishes:
Sliced green onion
Sesame seeds
Serve with rice or noodles
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large saute pan.
Place the meat in a large bowl and combine the soy sauce and cornstarch, then pour over the meat and toss. Sprinkle it with pepper and add to the hot oil. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, turning to brown all sides.
Remove the meat and add the onion and peppers and cook for 4 minutes.
Combine all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl and pour over the peppers. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken, then add the meat back into the pan.
Simmer for another 3 to 4 minutes.
Remove and serve over rice or noodles. Add a sprinkle of green onions and sesame seeds.
