- 1 lb frozen peas
- 5 tbsp salted butter
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- ½ tbsp minced shallot
- ¼ cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Fresh grated parmesan as garnish
Heat a deep skillet over medium heat. Add butter. Once melted add minced garlic and shallot. Cook for 1 minute.
Next, add the frozen peas. Stir and cook 5 minutes
Sprinkle the flour over the peas. Mix well, and cook for 2 minutes.
Pour in the whole milk and cream. Once fully incorporated, stir and cook until it starts bubbling, then lower heat to simmer.
Mix in the salt, pepper, and garlic powder and cook for 5 more minutes to thicken.
Garnish with fresh grated parmesan cheese and a pinch of black pepper. Enjoy!
