Crockpot Apple Butter BBQ Pulled Chicken

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce divided (used Baby Ray’s)
  • 1 ½ cups apple butter

Instructions

  • Add the chicken, 1 ½ cups BBQ sauce and apple butter to the bottom of a 5 quart or larger slow cooker.
  • Cover and set the slow cooker to high for 3-4 hours, or 5-7 hours on low, until the chicken is fully cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165F degrees.
  • Use a fork to shred the chicken and stir in the remaining ½ cup of BBQ sauce.
  • Serve immediately as is, over buns, over mashed potatoes, or in a wrap, enjoy!
