Pumpkin Brownies

Pumpkin Brownies are an easy fall brownie recipe. A boxed brownie that is swirled with a pumpkin and cream cheese filing and baked to golden perfection. Slice and serve up these flavorful pumpkin cheesecake brownies.

Ingredients

Chocolate layer:

  • 1 19.9 ounces box of dark chocolate brownie mix
  • ¾ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup salted butter melted
  • ¼ cup half and half

Pumpkin layer:

  • 1 8-ounce package of cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin
  • Extra mini chocolate chips optional garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Then grease a 9x13 baking dish. You can line with parchment paper if you would like.
  • In a mixing bowl add your brownie mix, chocolate chips, eggs, butter, and half and half. Mix well to combine.
  • Then you will use a separate bowl and add the cream cheese, brown sugar, pumpkin, and pumpkin spice in mixture. Mix till light and fluffy then work in the egg.
  • Pour half the brownie batter in the pan. Spread to an even layer.
  • Next pour on the cream cheese layer. Spread to make smooth.
  • Spoon more brownie mix on cream cheese layer. Then use a butter knife or toothpick and swirl the layers together.
  • Sprinkle with chocolate chips if you would like.
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes or until the brownies and cheesecake layer are both baked through. Stick a toothpick in and make sure it comes out clean of wet batter.
  • Serve warm or allow the brownies to cool completely.
