Ingredients
2lbsground beef
2green bell peppers diced
1onion diced
4garlic cloves minced
3tbspall-purpose flour
2tbspbrown sugar
2teaspoonssalt or to taste
1tspblack pepper
½-1tspcayenne peppermore or less depending if you like spice ●
2cups chicken broth
1cupketchup
1tbspdijon mustard
1tspWorcestershire sauce
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
In a large saucepan or dutch oven over medium high heat, add the ground beef, bell pepper, onion, garlic, flour, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Cook and crumble the ground beef until browned and cooked through, and vegetables are softened. About 10-12 minutes. Stir in the broth, ketchup, dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Mix everything well and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium. Cook, stirring occasionally until the mixture is thick, about 45 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 450F degrees. Transfer the mixture to an oven safe pan (or use your saucepan/dutch oven if oven safe) and top with the shredded cheese, Place in the oven for 5-8 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbling.
