Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak meat chopped
  • 1 green pepper thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup white onion sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package 12 rolls Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices provolone or Swiss Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a pan and cook the steak, green pepper, onion, and thyme till the meat is no longer pink. Add the garlic powder, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce and stir.
  • Heat the oven to 350° and spray a pan with cooking spray.
  • Cut the rolls in half horizontally. Spoon the steak over the rolls and top with the cheese. Use all the cheese.
  • Place the tops of the rolls back on.
  • In a small bowl combine the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Brush over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with half the parsley.
  • Cover with tinfoil and place in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the tinfoil and continue baking for 5 minutes.
  • Remove and sprinkle with more parsley.
  • Serve immediately.
