Philly Sliders Ingredients
- Thin-Sliced Steak Meat – Grab the thinnest slices you can find and chop them into pieces while you cook them.
- Olive Oil – You’ll add olive oil to the skillet before tossing your thin steak pieces into it.
- Green Pepper – Cut your peppers into thin slices. They’ll add extra flavor to these sliders.
- Onion – Grab a white onion and cut it into thin slices to pair with the green peppers.
- Garlic Powder – Season your meat with a bit of garlic powder.
- Provolone Cheese – While provolone is a popular choice, you can also swap it out for other cheeses if you’d like.
- Hawaiian Rolls – Grab a package of Hawaiian rolls to use as your slider buns!
While these are some of the primary ingredients, you’re going to need several others, including Worcestershire sauce, butter, brown sugar, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Variations of the Philly Cheesesteak Sliders
- If you’re not big on provolone cheese, use American cheese. Lots of restaurants and pizza stores in Philly use American cheese when preparing these steaks.
- You can turn this into a pizza steak by adding some marinara sauce on top with pepperoni slices.
- If you don’t have green peppers or don’t want to use them, you can omit them from this recipe. The onions add plenty of flavor to the steak, along with the seasonings and Worcestershire sauce.
Steak Sliders Notes
- You can spread a bit of mayo on top of the rolls instead of adding butter to them. It melts well and tastes great with the cheesesteak.
- Don’t hesitate to add extra ingredients to these sliders. They taste great with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, banana peppers, jalapenos, and more.
- Prepare a delicious dipping sauce to go with these sliders by combining equal parts mayo with ketchup and yellow mustard. It tastes amazing and goes exceptionally well with these sliders.
