Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion sliced thin
  • ½ cup quick cooking oatmeal
  • 1 1/3 cups beef broth
  • 1 1 ounce envelope beefy onion soup mix
  • 1 tablespoon worcheshire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • Buns

Instructions

  • In a skillet you will add your ground beef and thinly sliced onions in a skillet.
  • Cook over medium heat until the beef is cooked all the way through. Drain off grease.
  • Add the mixture to the slow cooker. Then add in the oats, broth, soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours.
  • About 15-20 minutes before serving add your cheese on top. Place lid back on and let it melt.
  • Serve on brioche buns or slider rolls.
