Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef

Ingredients

Serves-4

Cook time- 4 hours

  • 1 1/2 pounds flank steak or beef roast thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup green onions plus more for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the flank steak in a bowl with the cornstarch and toss to coat.
  • Add the flank steak to your slow cooker.
  • To the slow cooker add your sesame oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, green onions and water in the slow cooker.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 4-6 hours.
  • Top with more green onions and some sesame seeds.
  • Serve over white rice.
