All you need is some lemon pie filling plus angel food cake, and you’ll be able to make these tasty treats in no time.

  • Lemon pie filling – Yes, an ingredient such as simple as lemon pie filling can make something as delicious as lemon cake bars.

  • Angel food cake – The other secret ingredient to this dessert is angel food cake!

How to Make 2 Ingredient Lemon Bars

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. F and prepare a 9×13 baking dish by spraying generously with non-stick spray and line with parchment if desired. 

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the lemon pie filling and the angel food cake mix. Mix until smooth. The mixture will be thick. 
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth evenly. 
  4. Bake for 25-28 minutes or until the top is golden-brown and the cake is set.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 15 minutes on a wire rack. 
  6. Sprinkle it with powdered sugar and top with fresh lemon slices, and serve. 
  7. Keep any leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature.

How to Store Lemon Cake Bars

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container on the counter for up to 3 days. These lemon bars can also be frozen for up to 2 months. Defrost before serving.
