Ingredients
  

Serves-8

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 24-ounce jar your favorite pasta sauce
  • 1 15-ounce container ricotta cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • 1 16-ounce box ziti

Instructions

  • In a medium skillet over medium-high heat brown your ground beef and drain the grease.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together ricotta cheese, egg, salt , garlic powder, pepper, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Pour 1/3 of sauce into the bottom of a greased 6-quart slow cooker.
  • Scatter 1/3 of the uncooked ziti on top.
  • Sprinkle with 1/2 of the cheese.
  • Spoon 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture over the ziti.
  • Repeat another layer of sauce, ziti, cheese and the remaining ricotta mixture.
  • Repeat with remaining ziti and then the remaining sauce.
  • Fill your pasta sauce jar with half water and half broth and pour that over the top evenly.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 hours.
  • Remove lid and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  • Cover with the lid just long enough to melt the cheese.
  • ENJOY!
