Recipe Notes & Tips

  1. Add your cherry tomatoes to the bottom of the slow cooker before you begin adding the feta cheese and cream cheese. You want to cover the tomatoes with these two different types of cheeses.

  1. Cook your pasta separately. You don’t need to cook it until everything else is almost done. After you’ve boiled the pasta, you can add it into the slow cooker and then give your ingredients a good mix to combine everything.

  1. You can top with parmesan cheese and a bit of basil if you’d like to add an extra touch to this tasty dish.

Do I have to use rotini pasta in this dish?

Rotini is a great pasta to use when preparing the Slow Cooker Tomato and Feta Pasta because it really gets all the seasoning and sauce on every inch of each noodle. However, you don’t have to use rotini. If you prefer a different type of pasta, such as elbows, bowties, or even ziti, you can use that instead. Use the type of pasta you personally prefer most.

What type of cream cheese should I add to the slow cooker?

You can use traditional cream cheese in this dish. It doesn’t matter which brand you’d like to use, whether you’re a fan of Kraft’s Philadelphia Cream Cheese or a generic version that you enjoy. In addition, you can choose to use a garlic and herb flavored cream cheese for added flavor in this recipe. Of course, it depends on what you like!

What to Serve with Slow Cooker Feta Tomato Pasta

The Slow Cooker Tomato and Feta Pasta is fulfilling and delicious enough to eat on its own as the main course. However, you may want to serve a few things on the side with it, such as a side salad with Italian dressing and some homemade garlic bread. Even if you don’t feel like making homemade garlic bread with an Italian loaf of bread, butter, and minced garlic, you can use store-bought garlic bread, such as Texas Toast.
