Ingredients Needed

Before you prepare this meal, you’ll need the following important ingredients to get started:

  • Chicken Breast – Be sure to have three pound of boneless, skinless chicken breasts to use.

  • Cream of Chicken Soup – Use two cans of cream of chicken soup for a flavorful, creamy touch.

  • Buffalo Wing Sauce – Kick up the heat by adding some buffalo wing sauce into the slow cooker.

  • Ranch or Bleu Cheese Dressing – The flavor of ranch or bleu cheese goes so well with the cheese, wing sauce, and chicken.

  • Mozzarella Cheese – Add flavor and a cheesy texture with a bit of mozzarella.

You’ll need a few more ingredients, such as chopped onion, garlic salt, sour cream, and penne pasta to complete the meal.

Use any wing sauce that you personally enjoy! Frank’s Buffalo Wing Sauce is an excellent choice because it has such a zesty, spicy kick with excellent flavor. However, you can use any type of buffalo wing sauce that you like best.

Can I use homemade cream of chicken?

Sure! If you prefer not to use the canned stuff, feel free to use homemade cream of chicken for this recipe. Of course, when you want to make this meal as easy and stress-free as possible, it’s best to stick with the canned cream of chicken.

  1. If you don’t have chicken breast, you can use boneless, skinless chicken thighs to prepare this Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Pasta.

  1. When it’s time to shred the chicken, use two forks to tear it apart after you’ve removed it from the slow cooker. If you’re struggling to shred it into small pieces, use a handheld shredded or hand mixer.

  1. Be sure to cook your pasta following the box instructions and then carefully and slowly mix it into the slow cooker with the rest of your ingredients.

You can use any brand of dressing. If you’re not sure which one to use, Hidden Valley or wishbone are an excellent choice. Of course, you can use any other brand, including generic options.

How to Store the Leftover Buffalo Chicken with Pasta

Wait for your meal to cool down a bit before pouring everything into a food storage container with an airtight lid. Place the container in the fridge to keep it fresh. You can keep your chicken and pasta in the fridge for up to four days. When you want to reheat it, simply add a bit of butter to the meal and microwave for a minute or so to get it hot and ready to enjoy.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Pasta

Ingredients
  

Serves-6

Cook time- 4-6 hours

  • 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 10.5 ounce cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup buffalo wing sauce I use Franks (use extra if you want more spice)
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup ranch OR bleu cheese dressing
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 lb pasta cooked

Instructions

  • Place your chicken in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Mix together your onion, cream of chicken soup, wing sauce and garlic salt.
  • Pour the mixture all over the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.
  • Shred the chicken using 2 forks in the slow cooker.
  • Add in sour cream and the dressing.
  • Stir in shredded mozzarella until everything is combined.
  • Boil and drain your noodles.
  • Add cooked noodles to the slow cooker and stir gently to combine..
  • ENJOY!
