Not only is this cake full of rich chocolate, but it’s also packed full of one of my other favorite things…Baileys Irish Cream! Which I havent been able to have for the past year because I was pregnant with my daughter!

I was dying to make this cake again and share it here on the blog with you all!

This cake is made from scratch and so is the amazing kahlua buttercream frosting that I top it and layer it with, I have to stop myself from eating it with a spoon because its so good! LOL its my all time favorite cake!

Delicious kahlua buttercream really makes this cake a winner and compliments the cake perfectly. With such a rich cake, the frosting is the perfect way to finish it off! The whole combination is pure heaven and a cake I’ll definitely be making again and again – now that I can drink alcohol again 😀

This is an ‘adult’ cake but if you wanted to make it ‘kid-friendly’ you can use the Baileys Irish cream coffee creamer, it’s non alcoholic and it has close to the same taste. Substitute the Kahlua for more of the baileys creamer in the frosting as well!

You know, for someone who doesn’t really drink, I love boozy desserts. But you will catch me frequently having a glass of sweet dessert wine or a sweet cocktail, but you’ll never catch me with a beer…ever. lol  This cake is scrumptious and sure to be a huge hit with whoever you serve it to!

This has become my family’s favorite cake! And mine 🙂
It is the perfect combination, the only thing I changed was that I used half of the butter for the frosting and a bit more Kahlua and added a pinch of cocoa.
But either way it is the best cake ever!
