Making Hard Boiled Eggs right in your Instant Pot guarantees perfect eggs every single time. Its honestly the best way to make them.
For as many years as i can remember, I have always used the stove top to cook my hard boiled eggs and for the most part- they came out great- but not every time. When I got my Instant Pot last Christmas, I have been using it for everything and I adore it! Ill never make my eggs stove top again!
Fool proof, perfect each and every time– no issues with overcooking them on accident! Perfect yellow centers and they peel beautifully! I recommend running the eggs under warm water to get them to reach room temperature if taking them straight out of the fridge, that helps the eggs not crack and ensures they cook correctly.
All it takes is 5 short minutes to cook! Crazy?! How did I ever live without my Instant pot?! I have so many more Instant pot recipes coming soon to the blog too! I am sure you will all love them!
I do let them sit in a cold ice bath for 15 minutes, so I can peel them easily.
5 minutes in the instant pot will give you nice firm yoke centers, if you want egg yolks that are just ‘set’, i would recommend doing 4 minutes.
3 minutes if you want a runnier yoke.
a word of warning! remember the Eggs are extremely hot once done, so be sure to carefully remove them to place them into the ice bath.
you’ll never want to make hard boiled eggs on the stovetop ever again after this!
Once your eggs have cooled in the ice bath, you simply crack them open by rolling on a kitchen counter! the shells will peel right off with ease.
they will last about 7 days in the fridge, stored in an airtight container.
