What if I can’t find Torani vanilla syrup?
If you can’t find the Torani brand of vanilla syrup, you can use a different brand. Starbucks makes and sells a vanilla syrup that would taste just as good when used in this recipe with vodka, root beer, and other ingredients.
Which root beer brand is the best one to use?
It doesn’t matter which root beer brand you decide to use. They’re all great! If you’re not sure which brand to choose, A&W and Mug both make flavorful root beer that will taste excellent when used to prepare this cocktail.
Can I make this with diet root beer?
Yes! You can reduce the calories & sugar in this beverage by replacing traditional root beer with diet root beer. The great thing about this specific carbonated beverage is that the diet version typically tastes the same as the regular version, so you won’t even notice a difference when you use it.
Where can I find the whipped cream vodka?
Most liquor stores sell the whipped cream vodka by Smirnoff. If you’re unable to find it, you can always use a different brand’s version of the vodka to complete the recipe.
Can I add ice cream to this cocktail?
While the Layered Root Beer Float Cocktail doesn’t include ice cream, you can add a scoop or two of your favorite ice cream into the mixture with the alcohol and soda. If you’re going to add ice cream, choose any flavor that you’d like. Some of the best flavors to use include chocolate, vanilla, butter pecan, and coffee ice cream, all of which go great with root beer soda.
Should I use vanilla or chocolate Reddi Whip?
It doesn’t matter which flavor of Reddi Whip you decide to use. You can have both options available, especially if you’re preparing cocktails for multiple people. Let your guests decide which whipped topping flavor they’d like to have.
Is it best to make the Layered Root Beer Float Cocktail on the spot?
Instead of making these cocktails in advance, make them on the spot. They’ll taste better when you’ve recently combined the ingredients and are ready to serve the drink. Make sure you stir everything together, add the Reddi Whip, and even toss on a few sprinkles before handing the cocktails over to your guests.
