I love to use this recipe as a make-ahead dessert since it is such a crowd-pleaser. Make it the day before your gathering and it is ready to go when you are. You can top with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, cookie crumbs, etc!

Additional Notes & Tips

1. Keeps for up to 4 days in the fridge covered. Freeze for up to 3 months.

2. To make sure your crust easily comes out of the pie dish, just dip the bottom of the pie plate into hot water for about 10 seconds. Mush easier to slice!

I’m obsessed with this peanut butter pie. Peanut butter pie in general is a classic dessert and brings back childhood memories. But, I also remember it being so overly sweet even as a kid. My version is not as sweet, so you can eat a whole slice, or two!!

Ingredients

6 servings

Prep Time: 20 minutes

For the crust:

  • 24 Oreos
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter melted

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 & 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Place the Oreos in a food processor and process until they are fine crumbs.
  • Stream in the butter while pulsing.
  • Press this into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
  • Make sure to really pack in the crumbs, I like to use the bottom of a flat measuring cup to do this.
  • Place the pie plate into the freezer for 30 minutes.
  • Place the heavy cream in a large bowl and whip to stiff peaks, set aside.
  • Place the cream cheese into a large bowl and whip with an electric hand mixer until smooth.
  • Add the powdered sugar a little at a time until mixed in.
  • Add the peanut butter and vanilla, mix to combine.
  • Fold in the whipped cream until there are no streaks left.
  • Pour the peanut butter mixture into the crust and smooth out the top.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 4 hours until set or overnight.
  • Slice and serve with your favorite toppings.
  • ENJOY!
