How do I keep cookies fresh?

As long as your house isn’t too hot or cold, you can store these cookies at room temperature. The cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to two weeks. A little trick that you can do is add a piece of bread into the container with the cookies. The piece of bread will absorb the moisture.

Can I use a different kind of sugar?

If you don’t have brown sugar on hand, then there is something you can do instead. You can use granulated sugar instead of brown sugar. Keep in mind that brown sugar is what makes the cookies chewy and softer.
