Pudding: I used vanilla instant pudding for this recipe. It adds a creamy, smooth texture that perfectly complements the cake.
Milk: I used to mix regular milk with the vanilla pudding. Make sure the milk is cold.
Greek Yogurt: The yogurt adds some tanginess and tames down the sweetness of the pudding layer. It truly balances the sweetness.
Angel Food Cake: You can buy or make homemade angel food cake and cut it into squares. It’s light, airy, and sweet as can be.
Pie Filling: Strawberry pie filling will change the flavor of this cake. It adds a sweet and fruity component that will win everyone over.

Variations To Recipe
Cake: I used angel food cake but you can of course use regular diced cake, pound cake, etc. You can also play with flavors of cake to alter the flavor of the dessert.
Pie Filling: Cherry, lemon curd, blueberry, etc. are all great options. Or skip the pie filling and use fresh diced fruit.
Toppings: Slivered almonds, pecans, shredded coconut flakes, and more can be sprinkled on the cake for a different look and more flavor.
Pudding: Reach for any flavor of pudding you would like. The instant pudding is best, but you can use cook and serve. You just need to allow the pudding to cool completely before mixing it with the cake ingredients. A lemon pudding or even cheesecake flavored would be delicious.
One of the best things about this cake is its versatility. You can easily customize it to suit your personal taste preferences. For example, you can add layers of sliced fresh strawberries in between the cake layers for an added burst of freshness and texture.
You can also add a layer of whipped cream or cream cheese frosting for a richer and creamier texture. The possibilities are endless with this cake, making it a perfect canvas for your creativity.
Storing Leftover Cake
Refrigerate: Cover the cake and store in the fridge for 3-4 days. Use plastic wrap or foil to cover the dish to prevent the cake from drying out.
Freezing: You are welcome to freeze any of the cakes as well. Just place them in a freezer-friendly container and freeze for 2-3 months. I recommend freezing them in single servings. Then, thaw in the fridge overnight.
Expert Tips For Success
Chilling Time
After you assemble the dessert, cover and refrigerate as directed. It would be best to allow time for the pudding layer to get nice and thick and set up thoroughly. Otherwise, it will be very soft, and the flavors won’t be blended.
Layering
I recommend doing layers of pudding, diced cake, filling, etc. That way, it adds color and dimension, and each bite has all the flavors.
Cubes of Cake
I recommend having the cake in bite-sized cubes. This will make it easier to eat with a fork or a spoon. You also want the bottom layer to be cake. That way, it holds all the fillings without sogging up too much for this heavenly cake.
Not only is this cake delicious, but it is also visually stunning with its vibrant pink hue and layers of strawberry goodness. It makes for a show-stopping dessert that will impress your guests and leave them craving for more. Whether you’re hosting a birthday party, baby shower, or simply treating yourself to a sweet indulgence, this Strawberry Heaven On Earth Cake is sure to be a hit.
