Ingredients Needed for S’mores Pie Recipe 

This pie has three layers, the crust, filling, and the topping. Here is what you’ll need to make the filling on this scrumptious pie! 

  • Chocolate chips – You can’t have a s’more without chocolate. For the pie portion, you’re going to use chocolate chips to get that same chocolate taste you get with a chocolate bar on the traditional s’mores. 
  • Heavy cream – Believe it or not, but another important ingredient for this dish is heavy cream! You’ll need the cream to make the filling. 
  • Vanilla – You can’t make a pie without a little bit of vanilla. Everyone knows vanilla helps to make the dessert taste even better!

How to Store S’mores Pie Recipe

If you’d like to store this S’mores Pie, you can place it in an airtight storage container in the fridge. You can leave it in the fridge for up to four days. However, every time I’ve ever made this pie, it’s devoured in less than an hour!

What is the texture of this pie?

Anytime you’re making a new pie, you are most likely curious about the texture of it. This S’mores Pie is very smooth and rich. You’ll find that chocolate ganache filling is also thick and smooth! The graham cracker crust is very sweet and buttery, which is always a favorite flavor of mine! Without a doubt, you are going to get that classic s’mores flavor in the form of a pie, and it’s so good! 

What happens if the chocolate chips aren’t all the way melted?

If the chocolate chips still have some melting to do after mixing with the hot heavy cream, I have a tip for you. Place the mixture into a microwave-safe bowl and then place it in the microwave. You’ll want to do this in 30-minute increments until it’s melted. 

Can I use a store-bought graham cracker crust?

Perhaps my favorite hack for this recipe is that you don’t have to make the homemade crust. You can, instead, go to the store and buy a graham cracker crust! Yes, this means you can take a short cut, and this pie will still turn out super delicious. Give this recipe hack a try, I think you’ll love it.

Ingredients
  

Crust:

  • 2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
  • 1⁄2 cup + 2 tablespoons melted butter

Filling:

  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 3⁄4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Topping:

  • 1 1⁄2 cups mini marshmallows
  • Hershey’s mini chocolate bars
  • Crushed graham cracker pieces

Instructions

Crust:

  • 1 – Preheat the oven to 350°. Grease a 9” pie plate and set aside. In a medium sized mixing bowl combine graham crackers and brown sugar. Add in the melted butter and mix until well coated and the texture is like wet sand. Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pie plate. Place into the preheated oven on the center rack and bake for 10 minutes, until set. Once baked, remove from the oven and set aside to cool completely.

Filling:

  • 1 – Pour the heavy cream into a small microwave safe bowl. Place into the microwave and heat for 1 minute. Place the chocolate chips in a medium sized heat proof bowl. Once the heavy cream is heated, pour over the chocolate chips and add in the vanilla. Let the mixture sit for 1 minute, then mix until smooth and completely melted. Pour the mixture into the cooled crust. Lightly cover and place into the fridge to chill overnight or until set.

Topping:

  • 1 – Once the pie is set, remove from the fridge. Top with a layer of mini marshmallows, then add a couple of mini chocolate bars and graham cracker pieces. Place the pie into the oven at 350 F and bake for 5-7 minutes or until the marshmallows are browned.

Storage:

  • Pie may be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
