Chocolate Cream Pie is crazy easy and insanely delicious!

Let’s just start by saying that my mom has begged me to make her one of these chocolate pies for the longest time!

Ever since I started food blogging a couple of years ago, she has loved it because I end up with SO MUCH extra food that my family is always MORE than full lol

I took a couple pieces for ME and the rest of this pie went home with my mom

(a VERY HAPPY HAPPY MOM) lol  😉

See those pretty dishes? Those were my grandmothers. They are literally over 60 years old! (love them) and I miss her. She lived a long life though, she lived to be almost 102 years old!!

AND only passed away a few short years ago. Love you nana <3

I used a frozen pie crust because, like I said earlier, I wanted this to be easy peasy!

You can use a pre-made, pre-baked to make it EVEN easier but I went with a frozen (that had to be baked) because it really makes a big difference in my opinion with flavor.

Its pretty quick too, all you need to do is wait for it to cool before spooning the filling in the pie crust.

Yes, I used cool whip! Though making your own homemade whipped cream is easy so feel free to do that if you’d prefer.

But HEY, remember we are trying to keep this EASY 😉

In the ingredients the recipe does not call for milk but in the instructions it calls for milk and heavy whipping cream, I know it has to have milk in it but I need to know how much thank you.

The recipe says to make the pudding as directed on the box. That is where the amount of milk is shown.

If you follow the directions on the pudding mix as stated in the recipe, that’s where your milk is. The directions on the box should tell you how much milk to use. Then, I’m assuming you also add the heavy cream as well.

Recipe only calls for 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream, but directions say to add milk and whipping cream to pudding mix.

You make the pudding as directed on the package first, amount of milk is on there- the heavy whipping cream is added AFTER 🙂

Am going to make one too, for my daughter and I.
She will probably eat the largest part of it, but that is OK, I can make another one.

For us novices, it would help if you stated “Instant” pudding. Tried it with the cooking kind, and it was not pretty!

Jennie Strickland it says two boxes of Jello Chocolate pudding and it
says make as directed which means whatever the box says is how much milk you would use!
