Tips for Success
Platter
Make sure your platter or board is large enough to hold all the items to build your tree. YOu can use any shape or style of board. Even a cutting board will work.
Tree Shape
Try to create nice crisp lines so you get that defined tree shape for this recipe. You can either start at the base of the trunk or the top of the star and work down.
Layers of Ingredients
The goal is to make sure the items are stacked close so you have layers of ingredients and no pieces of the tray are showing on the tree shape. Just arrange it neatly so you that that visually appealing design.
Dips and Spreads
If you want to add dips or spreads to the mix you can place them in bowls on the sides of the serving tray. Then add crackers, pretzels, etc as well. Feel free to add extra items for your guests to enjoy.
Herb Garnish
The herbs are going to really help add that elegant look to the tree-shaped board. Now you can skip this step but you will find it is very pretty to have it added here and there throughout the design.
Storing
Make Ahead: If you want to make this Christmas tree charcuterie board ahead of time, go right ahead. Assemble and then cover tightly in plastic wrap or foil. Then place in the fridge overnight or until you are ready for serving.
Storing Leftovers – I like to place the items in their own bags so that flavors don’t blend together too much. But you can also just cover the board and store it in the fridge still placed together if you want.
